Christine Nowmos is a cum laude graduate of Grove City College with a Bachelor of Music degree in music education. She received her Masters of Music degree in music education from West Chester University in 2006. Christine holds a New Jersey state teaching certificate for K-12 vocal and instrumental music and has completed certification courses in the Kodaly Method of music education at West Chester and in Elementary General Music Level I and Early Childhood Music Level I through the Gordon Institute of Music Learning.
Christine teaches general/vocal music to grades Pre-Kindergarten through 4 in the Woodstown-Pilesgrove, NJ, Regional School District and is the director of the Mary S. Shoemaker School choral music program (visit her school web page). She has also taught elementary general/vocal music in Hamilton Twp. (Atlantic Co., NJ) Public Schools and instrumental music in several South Jersey parochial and private schools. Christine has developed and is the teacher for the MusiKids early childhood music and movement program. MusiKids classes are offered for ages newborn through 7 and are held each summer in Woodstown, NJ. She has also practiced yoga for nearly 15 years and runs the Kids' Yoga Club at the Mary S. Shoemaker School.
Jeffrey Nowmos is a magna cum laude graduate of Temple University's Esther Boyer School of Music, with a Bachelor of Music degree in jazz guitar performance.
Jeff
is a well-rounded musician, at home either as a soloist or as part of a
group. He has experience with a wide range of musical styles from
classical guitar and piano, traditional and modern jazz,
contemporary/pop, to hard rock. He has played guitar with a wide variety
of ensembles throughout the South Jersey/Philadelphia region, including
traditional jazz quartet Spiral, jazz/contemporary duo Another Place,
dance/party band Road Scholars, and is founder/leader of the Jeff Nowmos
Jazz Trio/Quartet. Jeff has also played guitar and bass for several
South Jersey/Phila area musical theater productions and was bassist for
Grateful Dead tribute band Acoustic Culture. In addition, he has more than 15 years' experience as a solo guitarist and pianist at
restaurants and for weddings and private parties. Jeff can currently be heard as part of a jazz/contemporary guitar and drum duo on Tuesdays from 6:00 to 10:00 PM at the Beach Creek Oyster Bar and Grill in Wildwood, NJ, during the summer of 2011.
Jeff
has composed over a hundred rock and jazz songs, a string quartet, and
works for choir, for piano and for classical/solo guitar. He is
currently working on a symphony/large scale composition. As a composer,
Jeff seeks to transcend stylistic boundaries by incorporating elements

Christine and Jeff were married
on June 1, 1996. They live in Woodstown, NJ, with their son, George, and their Dalmatian mix, Jessie. George is also a budding young musician who enjoys singing and playing percussion instruments in music class at school and has been learning to play the piano at home. In addition to making music together, the Nowmos family enjoys hiking, camping, cooking, reading, and playing Scrabble.
